Easee Equalizer and Equalizer Amp are essential devices for a smart, efficient, and cost-effective EV charging experience. Together, they enable dynamic load management (DLM), which intelligently balances your household's power usage, ensuring that EV charging adapts to the available power without overloading the main fuse. This feature reduces the need for costly upgrades to your electrical system, as it automatically adjusts charging power when other appliances are in use, increasing power when household demand drops.
Designed specifically to work with Easee chargers, the Equalizer and Amp also allow seamless solar charging. By connecting to your energy grid or solar panels, they enable you to charge your vehicle directly from renewable energy sources, maximizing sustainability. This system supports charging multiple vehicles simultaneously by evenly distributing power, ensuring that all connected EVs charge efficiently without straining your home’s electrical infrastructure.
The Easee Equalizer can be installed either by connecting to a compatible smart meter (see below for compatibility information) or, if a smart meter isn’t available, by using the Equalizer Amp. With or without a smart meter, Easee Equalizer and Amp optimize your energy use, offering safe, flexible, and faster charging for one or more EVs at home or in larger complexes.

Easee Equalizer works with these DSMR (Dutch Smart Meter Requirements):
- DSMR v4.0 and higher is fully supported.
- DSMR v2.2 is supported on 1-phase meters. In this case, an external power source is required. An alternate possibility is to use an active splitter.
- DSMR v2.2 on 3-phase meters works on a case-by-case basis.
